Big pow day!

Sean and I went up super early this morning. We saw the snow that got dumped on us and we decided to do a lil early shred before I had to go to work at 11...

High shred level

Rode today with Nicole and then Nick met up with us... Great day in the sunshine before the clouds started rolling in. After work I got home to find my offer letter for Crosswalk sitting on the front step. I went back into town and faxed back a signed copy and then went over to Lionshead to do a little shopping. Ended up coming home with a new pair of the Midnight Dragon Mace goggles and some black Burton pipe gloves.

6 weird things

Kris asked me to do this. Not sure why I am doing it other than I am bored on Friday night waiting for it to be later so I can go out.

1. I used to regularly get hit by cars. Four times total. Ages 5, 9, 11, 18. The first sent me to the hospital. The last was on a skateboard. Now I have a scar from a 3rd degree burn on my right butt cheek from the engine of the van in the first accident.

2. Rootbeer is my favorite beverage. If I had nothing other than rootbeer to drink for the rest of my life I would be stoked. Wait a minute... I need some water once in a while to rinse with after brushing my teeth, but other than that.

3. Have you ever seen the Seinfeld about nakedness when Jerry's girlfriend is always naked and it freaks him out? I am the same way... Nakedness is cool and all, but opening pickle bottles while naked is not hot. I prefer girls to have their clothes on (until I take them off). That said... Kris's entry about farting is totally on, but naked farting is not so cool...

4. I wanna ride my bike all the time and everywhere. I need to get a big beach cruiser with the rediculous handlebars and a sweet paint job and cruise the town with everybody staring at me. I already do this on my longboard because it is a 6 foot long handmade hill-bombing machine. Now I need the sweet bike, or atleast one of my friends to have the sweet bike so they can tow me and people can look at us all the time.

5. One time a few months after I broke up with a long-term girlfriend I ran into her in a store when I was buying a shirt. Being the bitch she is, she says, "Are you really buying that? That shirt is ugly!" From then on, any time I knew I would see her somewhere I would wear that shirt. Sometimes I would even get other people to comment on it in front of her. Why do I love being a jerk to people?

6. My toilet takes literally 5 minutes to finish flushing and it is driving me CRAZY. It all goes down pretty quick, but then it runs to fill up the tank forever. Anybody know how to fix that? I am sure I could figure it out, but this house is a rental and I guess I don't care much.

Interview -> Job Offer

Yesterday I drove down to Denver to interview at Crosswalk in Westminster. The interview went really well. Afterwards Meghan and I went out for dinner to Thai Basil then to Cherry Creek Mall to do a little shopping. Spent the night at Ryan and Elena's house and watched Cliffhanger.

This morning I drove around the Highlands area and looked at a few houses around there then headed back to Vail. About an hour ago I received a call from the recruiter I have been working with. He said that Crosswalk wants to offer me the position. I can't wait. Now I am just waiting for an offer letter so I can turn in my notice at the Lodge at Vail and I need to get a house in Denver.

Can you feel my excitement?

Smark'ing the slopes of Vail

Smark went riding with Sean and I yesterday. He had never really done cliff drops before so what better chance to learn than on a nice soft powder day?

Too busy

Ok... I have been damn busy lately. Job interview in Boulder yesterday. They offered me the job, but I don't know if I am going to take it yet... I am not real keen on commuting from Denver to Boulder. Stayed at Mustard's last night in Denver then came back to Vail today. Probably gonna have to head down to Denver again in the next few days for another interview. Hopefully that will be over soon...

Partying is over

So Elena and Ryan left Vail today with the rest of their familes and went to Aspen. The Vail party time is over for now. Last night we went to Campo De Fiore for dinner then out to the George to shoot some stick. This morning I got up and went snowboarding for a few hours until it started hailing. Good day off so far...

Elena and Ryan are hitched!

This weekend has been so damn rad. Started off with Whalen and Helton showing up at my place and crashing here and then Whalen, Sean, and I riding Vail. Next came the wedding and the reception. After that I worked the busiest shift I have ever worked at the LAV then headed to Rosie's in Leadville for dinner with the Metzler family. Tiring, but amazing. Here are the pics...

The wedding is upon us

So Ryan and Elena are getting married tomorrow. Tonight is the rehearsal dinner and Helton, Whalen, Dave White, and Samantha all arrived yesterday. Whalen went snowboarding with Sean and I today. That was pretty fun to hang out with him after all these years...

Pulled out the new stick

So we got a little snowfall last night and I decided to break out the new powder stick ('06 Nitro Naturals 161). Unfortunately, there wasn't that much new snow... dust on crust. Sean and I ripped around for a while, but his board was sticking to the snow and he wanted to go down and wax it so we called it a day.
