Today was the first John Cougar Mellencamps get-together of the new kickball season. We headed to Lakeside Waffles for breakfast then to the Mile High Flea Market. Photos here.

Playing with MapMyRide

I have been playing with the MapMyRide iPhone application and it is kinda frustrating. I wish it kept mapping even when the GPS data is not too reliable because it is in a pocket or something. I think I am going to go back to InstaMapper's GPSTrack.

Royal Arch

Yesterday Koura and I hiked up to the Royal Arch from Boulder before going to visit with Danielle. It is so nice to have her in town even if it is just for the weekend.

A few maps

Today I went hiking in Boulder's Chautauqua park up to the Royal Arch:

Can you tell I got lost on my hike in Tucson's Milagrosa Canyon?

Tucson's Mount Lemmon

On the softball team's day off I went with my parents, Stacia, and my mom's friends up to Sabino Canyon in the early afternoon. That place is stunning. Photos are here.

I didn't think I would get to see even better views that evening up on Mount Lemmon, but I sure did. The moon rose just as the sun was setting for some stunning vistas. Oh, the deserts of the southwest are truly beautiful. The rest of them are here.

St. John Fisher College playing softball in Tucson

Current music: d.Biddle - The Rabbit and the Moon

SJFC is now 3-1 after 2 days. It has been fun to sit in the sun and watch some softball. I took some photos yesterday and might again today if the sun comes back out. It is a bit cloudy and rained last night. More photos here.

Tucson and Milagrosa Canyon

Current music: Wolf Parade - At Mount Zoomer

This morning Koura and I got up at about 5am and headed out to Milagrosa Canyon, east of Tucson, to do some hiking. It is a beautiful place, but we didn't find any water in the swimming hole. It is totally bone dry this time of year. More photos here.
