Sandstone Walk

This morning I went out in the backyard and installed some sandstone steps through the grass to give my backyard a little more of that Colorado feeling.

Goldsprints at Govs Park

Last night I went over to Gov's Park to take some photos at the Goldsprints. I ended up racing and getting 6th out of about 25 people with 12.453 seconds in the 250m.

DKBC Vanimals once again are champions

The DKBC Vanimals went to Vail again this year and again we were undefeated (including winning a game by 25 runs)!

Veges galore

This morning I got a chance to get out in the garden and do some harvesting for the first time since Thursday. Obviously is was a little overdue. Great timing to make some caprese and stuffed anaheims though.

The backyard on Friday afternoon

When I got home from work on Friday afternoon, the guys were running sprinkler lines and laying brick. It was starting to really come together. However, I had to take off and get up to Vail for the kickball tournament!

Concrete poured

Yesterday, I arrived home to the concrete slab poured and the steps made!

Perseids at Echo Lake

This morning Lexey and I left at 3am to head up to Echo Lake on the side of Mount Evans to watch the Perseids. We did see bunch of them, but unfortunately I didn't get any on camera.

Yesterday I had the concrete frames put in. Today the concrete will be delivered and poured. Some of the landscaping might even get started!

Backyard... continued

Yesterday the demolition crew came and finished getting all the debris out of my yard and this morning the electrician came to re-run electricity to the garage. This time, doing it properly and burying it instead of the joke the previous owners of my home did.

Today the demolition crew finished the tear-out. Tomorrow when the dump is open they will haul the remaining pieces away. My backyard is going to be so big!

Started the backyard remodeling

The backyard remodel is now underway. Here is the progress so far... before and after. Still a long way to go.

Denver Cruisers - Sci Fi

Finally did my first Denver Cruisers ride of the summer on Sci Fi night. Jeff and Mel came down from Vail with Mel's brother and Nicky B even came. Good times!
